We are dedicated to teaching people firearm safety. Our goal is to give you yet another tool to arm yourself with should someone wish to threaten your life, or the lives of those you love, with imminent bodily harm or death. We would like it if you shared our beliefs, but we're not here to convert you; just educate you.
It is important to note that we're not attorneys. We're not here to give you legal advice. We can point you in the direction of laws and statutes, but we won't decipher them for you. That being said...
Our courses have multiple focus points. For example, we will be offering concealed handgun licensing for Oregon and Utah, Personal Protection in the Home, and Personal Protection Outside of the Home, and various other NRA safety courses.
The personal protection courses are just that: courses designed to increase your ability to successfully survive a dangerous encounter. Other courses offered will also increase said ability but have differing focuses. All in all, these courses, taken together or separately, will lead to an increase in confidence and safe handling of firearms.
Most people don't know why one would care about having more than an Oregon concealed handgun license. The Oregon license is honored in only a couple states, and only in one state that borders Oregon. The Utah concealed carry permit is honored in just under forty states, to include Washington and Idaho and Nevada.
Yes, our courses are serious, but you're also supposed to have fun...or at least stay awake. Should you have any suggestions to help facilitate either of these two most recent goals, feel free to let us know. Email is our preferred method of communication.
We recommend you take our course, but don't let it be the last one you take. When it comes to your life, or the lives of those you love, it's always wise to try and learn as much as possible. Safety comes through education and experience. The more you have of both, the safer everyone will be.
- Also, as an added service, we do have our own Oregon Notary Public, so we can notarize your applications for you as well — if you would like.
